I consider my back yard a really big part of my life. It is an essential part of my family and the way we live. It represents who we are in a number of different ways. Not only does it represent the children’s interests and hobbies that change with their growth but also a place where I know my things such as my boat and tools will be secure and looked after.

Growing up in Darwin, I spent all my time outdoors. Now whenever I get a few days off, I go back and head out bush with my brother. We go out for days on end and I just love it. I take my kids and I love seeing the enjoyment in their eyes – feeling so free.

I live in Sydney and by the water so I love being outdoors with my family. My backyard means quality time with my family in the sunshine and enjoying a BBQ or some backyard footy.

When I’m in my backyard I know it's truly holiday time. It’s the only place where I am fully relaxed because I know all my work commitments have finished and I can just enjoy!

Throughout all my life - as a young boy growing up in Adelaide, and now as a man living in Perth - my backyard has always been all about enjoying quintessential Australian things - the outdoors, sport and laughter/good times around the BBQ with my family and friends.
